Leadership Academy – looks like everyone had fun
Jessie came back with good ideas, pumped, and excited. Bringing that back to chapter
Regional Coming up at Elk Grove $20 for dinner and entertainment / $5 for entertainment
GA – 1/27 – 1/29.
Region Board – Kelli Kusch, Terri Miller (DD for MP, HE, DP, GMLV), Michelle Langston (COB), Christie Martin Member ID
Treasurer’s Report – Insurance due in February. Will owe Region Dues
Internal VP Report – none
External VP Report – none, not in touch with community right now, did have speakers for last month.
Speakers – Joe Schmitt and Rosa from F.I.S.T
New Programs – STEEP (helping those who can’t find jobs.) Looking for mentors – both men and women. Doing classes at CLC on Genesse on Saturdays from 11/2. Have skills, come out and help teach (looking for both personal and business. $100 per student (AP Book.) Able to donate money to help with the cost of student books. Doing a lot in the community.

Leadership Academy – Jessi – Learned a lot, met President Travis, discussed the guidelines for probation periods with him. Agenda – will email to members prior to meeting and will print on recycle paper

6 PM Cocktails/Murder – Suspects and get clues to determine who did it.

1/23 Monday – Chinese New Year Social
Fong’s in Waukegan 7 PM – social to get people to know who the Gurnee Lindenhurst Jaycees are.
In Waukegan, 2 blocks south of the Genessee Theatre
1/27 through 1/29 Year End GA – in Decatur – looking for rides. Lots of trainings for Saturday
2/11 Saturday – Valentine’s Social / Book Donation
Jerry’s Tacos in Waukegan 1 pm – 4 pm
Bring books or cash donations to help local school district acquire books. Elementary through High School.
Vote to move meeting from 7:30 PM to 7 PM – Encourage to be there by 6:30 pm to order food
